Outdoor life Daytime adventure and experience excursions summer and winter, e.g., go to an own beach during summer (We take you there with boat) or go for ice angling in winter time (we take you there by snowmobile) Rent a sea kayak or a Canadian canoe and paddle around by small islands and skerries in the Holmön archipelago. Overnight outdoor arrangements on the Holmön islands, e.g., walkabouts, canoeing, kayaking. Bee-keeping Damina participates in an EU financed project run by the NordBi association. The project aims to save the endangered bee race Nordic bee from being extinct. Holmön lays 10 km from the main land and therefore comprise an isolated biotope where the Nordic bee can live without threats from other bee races. Read more about the Nordic Bee-project (in Swe). Vi started a pilot project with two small bee hives during 2007. That summer gave 17 kg honey. The question was if the bees would survive the harsh winter conditions and the long clod spring before the vegeation turned green again. Luckily we found out that the bees survived the winter and during the summer 2008 we increased the bee farm to six hives. The 2008 summer honey harvest was not as great as expected due to the poor summer. We have, however, still some 2008 year honey for sale.
